Wo Long 10 Minute Gameplay

2023 is off to a fantastic start with Team Ninja’s forthcoming action game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty as January’s IGN First. If you enjoy dying, that is, since you will be doing a lot of it. Expect loads of exclusive coverage of this new Soulsborne focused on Chinese martial arts, developed by the team behind Ninja Gaiden and Nioh, throughout the month.

To begin, we have 10 minutes of unique gameplay from Tianzhushan, an early stage in the game. The stunning mountain vistas and thick bamboo woods are spectacular, but with vicious foes lurking around every corner, it’s best not to spend too much time appreciating the view. Tianzhushan is a wonderful example of Wo Long’s diversified exploration, with goods buried on top of rocks that may be accessed via the double leap and secret corridors located by destroying bamboo trees.

Our video also features Staff gameplay. The Staff, one of Wo Long’s 13 melee weapon types, is iconic to traditional Chinese martial arts and features acrobatic body movement.

The spooky mermaids and frightening tigers from the demo have returned, but new opponents such as a big ape and a hedgehog-like creature with a spinning attack similar to Nioh’s Wheelmonk took us off surprise. We were greeted inside a spooky cave by a surprise attack by an opponent who still gives us nightmares. See for yourself by watching the video!

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on Xbox Game Pass on March 3rd for PS5/PS4/Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/PC. Expect to see a lot more fresh Wo Long material on IGN throughout January.
